Description: Interchange Third Edition is a four-level series for adult and young adult learners of English from the beginning to the high-intermediate level. Intro is the introductory level of the Interchange Third Edition series. Intro is designed for beginning students needing a thorough, slow-paced presentation of basic functions, grammar structures, and vocabulary. Intro is based on the principle that low-level learning does not equal low-level thinking.
Each Student's Book contains 16 teaching units, frequent Progress Checks that allow students to assess and monitor their own learning, and a self-study section. Included is a Student Audio CD that contains the Snapshots, Word Powers, Conversations, Pronunciation, and self-study section from the Student's Book. As with the other levels of Interchange Third Edition, a complete set of ancillaries is available to make classes productive, varied, and fun.
The Whiteboard Software offers teachers a flexible and dynamic way to present the Student's Book in class. The software presents key elements from each unit, including illustrations and photos, class listenings, audio scripts, answer keys, and video sequences.
The Teacher's Resource Book provides teachers with fun and engaging classroom activities that supplement the material in the Student's Book. The book contains photocopiable activities for extra practice in listening, grammar, and vocabulary, with answers and audio scripts provided. An audio CD is included for use with the listening section.
The Interchange Video Program has been fully updated and features one video per unit in every level of the course, totaling 64 brand new segments. The videos:
• Are based on the language and vocabulary presented in each unit of the Student's Book.
• Provide students with realistic language exposure plus additional listening and speaking practice.
• Are presented in entertaining, free-standing sequences from a variety of genres such as: amateur content YouTube-style videos, documentaries, humorous skits, interviews, travelogues, and TV programs.
Each level of the Interchange Video Program comes on a DVD containing 16 video segments for in-class viewing. A video for each unit reinforces and extends the unit's topic and language presented in the Student's Book. It can also be used independently as the basis for a short listening and speaking course. The videos present a broad range of English-speaking cultures and regions around the world.
